Here, in this article, we are discussing how to get UAN from PF Number online.
If any PF member knows his Provident Fund Number i.e. PF Number but does not know their UAN Number, he can know the same easily by going through the following steps online.
Step 1: Visit the official website of EPFO and select Services for Employees – One Employee – One EPF Account.
Step 2: After clicking the above One Employee-One EPF account, the webpage will divert to the new official website of the EPFO Member Sewa.
Step 3: Then click on the link “know your UAN” and open the link.
Step 4: This page will take you with the new webpage details and enter any Mobile Number with captcha(Please note that members can enter any Mobile No. registered Mobile No. or any other Mobile Number – to enter registered Mobile Number is not mandatory).
Step 5: After clicking on the same, an OTP will be sent on the above Mobile Number.
Step 6: Enter the OTP and then the website will display a new webpage.
Step 7: The new webpage requires some information – name, date of birth, Aadhar number/PAN Card/Member Id.
Step 8: Finally, you will have to submit the same by entering Captcha Code, and thereafter your UAN will be displayed on the screen.

- The UAN allotted by the EPFO is a unique number hence it becomes the lifetime identity of an employee.
- This UAN helps the employer to authenticate an employee if KYC documents are verified.
- Due to the furnishing of an online facility by EPFO to its members, the employer will not be able to deduct or hold back PF accumulations.
- If the PF member registers himself on the PF member portal, he becomes eligible to track and check the PF contribution, deposited by the employer on monthly basis via SMS services and downloading passbook.
- PF balance can also be confirmed by sending an SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899 from their registered mobile number. Moreover, if your mobile number is registered with the UAN number, when you press the above phone number – 7738299899, just after a few second, not only you will be able to know your PF balance but also your UAN number, date of birth, and some other information via SMS.
